The Top 3 Breathtaking Cities in Italy

This past summer, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Italy. Italy is one of the most photographed countries in the world, simply because it is absolutely breathtaking! You can see the beauty in the country’s creation over the centuries because it is one of the oldest nations. Italy’s beauty ranges from something as spectacular as ancient Roman ruins to something as simple as bright and colorful flowers in every resident’s balcony, effortlessly decorating every building. The experience of being in a country that holds so much beauty gives you a sense of gratitude for the beauty of the world. That’s how it felt for me. So, shall we get into the Top 3 cities that will take your breath away? We shall!

1. Cinque Terre
Do you love beaches? Then Cinque Terre is the place to be! Cinque Terre is translated into the city of five towns, and you would be able to see all different breathtaking views of these 5 towns by hiking through them. You will have the best time taking a dip into the clear, crisp, Atlantic waters while drinking buckets of pina coladas. If you want to see the one of the best coastlines in Italy and have an amazing time, stop by Cinque Terre and grab a bucket for those pina coladas!

2. Verona
Beautiful Verona. The city of Romeo and Juliet. A UNESCO World Heritage Site!
I had the opportunity to live in this breathtaking city for six weeks. Despite Verona being a smaller city, its beauty made the city feel bigger than it is. Verona is one of the rare cities with colorful buildings. These colors stimulate your senses with every step you take through the city. You will never go bored looking at the beautiful ruins of l’Arena di Verona as well! If you want to see a less touristy area of Italy that is filled with gorgeous buildings, ruins, and a beautiful river, visit the wonderful Verona!

3. Riva del Garda
If you are astonished by nature’s art, visit Riva del Garda! A beautiful tiny town that sits in the North side of Lake Garda. The palm trees around the town make you think you are in a paradise place, and you will definitely feel that way. The credit of this town’s breathtaking views goes to how the mountains juxtapose the lake below it. The contrast of nature’s art will certainly leave you speechless.
